The questions parents actually ask.

If yours isn’t here, call Makel on (612) 889-3595 or book the fifteen-minute call — that is what it is for.

The program

What does a season actually commit us to?

We go month to month through the winter season, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 to Saturday, February 27, 2027. Every athlete and family signs a Commitment Contract at enrollment. The athlete picks their own daily training investment — 20, 45 or 90 minutes, five days a week — and that is the number they are held to. Complete the month and their name goes on the Commitment Board.

On top of that, the package you choose sets how many sessions they book each month: 6, 12 or 16 tokens, or unlimited with Elite. One token is one session.

What is the difference between the packages?

One token is one session: a training block, a Tour event, a fitness session with Phil or a mental game session with Yannick. The monthly packages are 6 tokens for $299, 12 tokens for $569 and 16 tokens for $719, and they book up to 30 days ahead. Elite is $999 a month for unlimited sessions, with 24/7 facility access for the whole family and booking up to 45 days ahead. Elite books up to one training block, one Tour event and one session with Phil a day. Sessions with Yannick are limited to one a month on a token package and two a month on Elite. On a token package, family facility access is a $300 per month add-on, one per household.

How does a player get into Elite?

Elite is the unlimited package, $999 a month. It is an open purchase in the member portal, like any other package. Elite athletes train in the same one-hour blocks as everyone else, with 24/7 facility access for the whole family. One athlete on Elite covers their siblings for facility access, with no add-on needed. A signed facility waiver is required.

What ages do you take?

Ages 7 to 18.

What happens if we miss a session?

Cancel by the day before the session and the token comes back, ready to book into any other open block that month. A session that is missed without cancelling uses its token. Tokens refresh on the 1st of each month and unused tokens don’t carry over.

Can we book a session as a one-off before committing?

Yes. A single token is $65 and covers one session. Single tokens are available from Saturday, October 10, 2026, when booking opens: sign up in the member portal first, then buy one there. Single tokens and monthly token packages book up to 30 days ahead, and Elite up to 45.

Tuition & billing

How does billing work?

Monthly packages bill automatically on the 1st of each month. If you join mid-month or upgrade your package, the tuition is prorated to the day.

If a card fails, new bookings are paused until the payment clears, and everything already booked is kept. If the payment is not recovered, the membership lapses and upcoming bookings are released.

Is financial assistance available?

Yes. We offer partial and full scholarship assistance for committed families. The application asks for the athlete’s tournament scoring average and a personal statement on how they align with the Code of Grit; the coaching board can award custom percentages.

Scholarship application

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes. The second and later memberships in a family get 20% off, applied automatically.

Calendar

When is the academy closed?

The academy is closed on Sundays. During the 2026–27 season there are also no sessions on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (December 24 and 25), or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (December 31 and January 1). Every other Monday to Saturday from November 3 to February 27 runs as scheduled.

What is the RYP Tour?

The RYP Tour is the academy’s Saturday tournament series. Each Tour event has leaderboards by age bracket (10 & under, 11–13 and 14 & up) and prizes. Tour events run 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and each one is one token. They also feed the season-long points standings.

The technology

What is Parallax?

Parallax is our own swing-analysis software. Every student gets a 90-day license free; it is not part of the membership itself. It finds each swing automatically using computer vision — no sensors or markers — and puts the replay on screen within seconds, capturing 22,356 data points per swing. It measures spine angle, rotation stability, weight transfer and hand path, flags faults like early extension, and compares any two swings side by side.

See how it works

What is F.O.R.G.E.?

F.O.R.G.E. tracks deliberate practice — volume, speed output and skill success rates during training blocks. It is still in development.

Who can see my child’s data?

Parents see their own athlete’s profile, billing, contract status and progress reports. They see a summary of mental-game sessions, never the full conversation, so the athlete stays candid with Yannick. Emergency and medical information is visible to on-site coaching staff during live sessions only.

The facility

Can I book a simulator?

Not publicly this season. Outside coached sessions, the simulator bays are for members with family facility access.

Family facility access

Can a left-handed and a right-handed golfer share a simulator?

In most cases our simulators are not set up for both at once. Contact Makel and we will work out the best set-up.

Are there age rules for using the simulators?

Simulator time outside coached sessions comes with family facility access. An athlete under 16 comes with a parent, guardian or an adult the guardian has named to the academy in writing.

Can I book multiple bays for a group?

Multi-bay bookings are for high school and college teams running captain’s practices only. Contact Makel on (612) 889-3595 or at makel@rypgolf.com to arrange one.

What if a simulator is not working?

Every simulator station has a full guide to all of our devices, so start there. If you are here for a session, there are plenty of staff on hand to help. If you are here outside academy hours, try an open station first. If that does not solve it, contact Makel by phone or email.
